The park was opened to visitors in 1980 and currently comprise of a theme park, water park, hotel complex, and a mini-golf course. The park near the village of Alton is managed by Merlin Entertainments Group and remains open from 10 AM to 7 PM each day of the week except for Wednesday and Thursday. On these two days, the park shuts a little early ie. 4 PM.
